Harris Academies
All Academies in our Federation aim to transform the lives of the students they serve by bringing about rapid improvement in examination results, personal development and aspiration.

Principal's Welcome

An extremely warm welcome to The Harris Academy Rainham website. I hope that the website provides you with the information that you require and gives you a flavour of what our academy is about. The Harris Academy Rainham is a great place to be.

Formerly The Chafford School, we have recently (September 2016) joined The Harris Federation (a not-for-profit charity with 25 years of experience in education). In joining Harris, we have become part of a family of almost 40 happy and highly successful primary and secondary schools in London and Essex and have the benefit of a team of experts in education who can provide teachers and leaders at Harris Rainham with a great deal of focused support.

We have great staff, very supportive parents, a very committed Governing Body and most of all we have students who enjoy learning.

I am very privileged to be the Principal of The Harris Academy Rainham. The students make us all very proud of them because of their achievements, successes and the contribution they make to academy life. It is their achievements and the hard work of the staff that makes this a fantastic academy. We all believe that underlying the success of the academy is the strong emphasis we place on parental support; we call it our three way partnership between student, parent and teacher. It provides the necessary support and communication that enables students to give of their very best. So much goes on at the academy every day that contributes to building a good future for all of our students and an enjoyable, warm, friendly environment to work and develop in. You are warmly invited to visit us here at Harris Rainham. Please contact me if you wish to do so.

Mr. G Stananought
