New Intake 2021 Welcome

Dear Parent/Carer/Student

I am delighted to welcome you and your child to Harris Academy Rainham. I would like to thank you for choosing to trust us with your child’s education and I can assure you that we will strive every day to ensure that we fulfil the great responsibility that you have given to us.

As an Academy we are very clear about our purpose and we summarise this in our Academy’s values – Belong, Believe and Become.  These are words that do not just sit on a page or form a part of the website - they guide our work and are the basis on which we make all our decisions.  For all those joining us in September there will undoubtedly be excitement, some nervousness and those feelings may be even stronger in the strange times we all find ourselves in.  As an Academy we pride ourselves on the care and support that we give to our students.  We work hard to make sure that they feel a strong sense of belonging to the school because we think this is the springboard to success in all aspects of our school life.

We are an Academy with exceptionally high expectations.  We expect excellent behaviour, hard work and commitment from all our students.  We also want them to enjoy and experience all that a school has to offer.  I would urge all our students to throw themselves into school life; join a sports team, take part in the school play and put themselves forward to be a council representative.  School is very much like life – the more we commit to it and involve herself the more enriching an experience we receive.

In the meantime welcome to your new school, stay safe and please contact us if there is anything we can do or you have any questions.
