“The thing I love most about working at Harris Rainham is the real team feel of the place. We all strive for the same things. There's a real belief that the student is the most important person in the world, and we have a real firm but kind approach. And I think that's perfect for students. And to feel that they're going to fulfil everything that they should be doing.

I think my biggest achievement is just making children feel safe. That’s my role in the school, in both of the jobs that I do. I'm making people feel they've got somewhere safe where they can come and talk, and there's always someone that's going to be an advocate for them.

I think it's the relationships with staff that are so key here. I would say every single student in the school has somebody that they can talk to, and I think that's very, very special for Harris Rainham.

It's not been like that at other schools that I've worked in, and I think that comes through everything we do here. Every student has somebody they can go to and somewhere that they feel they listen to.”
